After receiving my Bachelor’s degree from James Madison University and joining the workforce shortly after, I found myself unsatisfied with my career path. I felt that I wasn’t being mentally stimulated or making an impact in society. So I branched out, explored different opportunities and discovered a passion for coding. I started with learning HTML/CSS and then eventually SQL Java and C#. Learning these tools as well as networking and volunteering led me to my first role in IT as a QA Engineer. Now my role has expanded beyond the QA role and into a Software Engineer.
